FoodsGuider publishes the data behind its tipping guide and food travel budget calculator as a free, read-only JSON API. Use it in travel apps, spreadsheets, chatbots or AI agents. No key or sign-up is needed.

{country} can be a two-letter ISO code such as JP or an English country name such as Japan.

How the numbers are made
Tipping information comes from our tipping guide, reviewed in September 2026. Budgets use a US reference basket of meal, coffee, food tour and cooking class prices, scaled by a food price level for each country. They are estimates: prices vary by city and season, so show them as a range.
